I was not aware of this. Can you post/PM your site URL... I just want to take a look.

My site doesn't have this issue. I am using it
1. Article Section
2. Mamblog Section

I have never tried it for different section. Lets take a look.

QUOTE:
First of all.. great work! It's appreciated.

I have a fairly large site I'm attempting to install the BlogSideBar 2.5 to.

I am pointing it towards a section ID.. It populates the calendar and categories automatically based on that Section.

The problem is.. is that when I install multiple instances of the BlogSideBar to various sections... they all start pulling from the same categories even after I've pointed each one individually at separate section IDs.

Ugh!

Any idea of a workaround? Were you aware of this bug?

Thanks!

David

It works for me!

I just tried it for Quick Bites section and it is working fine.

Can you tell me what did you put into section?

Unfortunately.. I can't post the link to the site, at the moment. It's being developed on the local intranet.

I think it will be 'online' within a day or two though.

I will post it at that point.

thanks!

Can you tell me what did you put into section? You should put ID of sections, not the name of sections.

For example, articles have section ID 1, Quick Bites have 2, FAQ, I guess is 3 and so on.

Mamblog is ID 6 (in my case and may change).

I'm certain I have the correct section ID numbers in place for each instance of the sidebar.

It's pulling the correct articles in the "Latest in Blog" part of the sidebar. It's just the categories that don't seem to work.

However, I have a hunch that the bug MAY come from the fact that all of my different sections have similarly named categories.

For instance.

Section - Girls Camp
Categories - Summer 2006, Events, Stuff

Section - Boys Camp
Categories - Summer 2006, Events, Stuff

Section - Adventure Camp
Categories - Summer 2006, Events, Stuff

What do you think? Are lines inside of Joomla getting crossed as a result of this somehow? Just a hunch.

Update Update.

Sorry.. I was wrong.

It IS pulling the correct categories. However...

If I'm in the Girls Camp Blog (this page has a dynamically created title)... And I click on a category inside of the Girls Camp Blog page... It brings me to the correct Category for Girls Camp.. BUT.. the Title changes to "Boys Camp Blog"...

Very odd.
