Just installed BlogSideBar module v2.6 and component v2.4.

I'm getting the following SQL error in the BlogSideBar window:

Invalid query: Whole query: SELECT DAYOFMONTH( created ) AS created_day, created, id, sectionid, YEAR(created) AS created_year, MONTH(created) AS created_month FROM #__content WHERE (sectionid = 4 ) AND (state = 1 ) AND (publish_up = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR publish_up <= '2007-06-30 16:28:34' ) AND (publish_down = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR publish_down >= '2007-06-30 16:28:34' ) AND access <= 0 GROUP BY created_year DESC, created_month DESC, created_day DESC

Does this make sense to anyone? I'm using Mamblog v1.0, I see by the sectionid that it is finding it just fine without the need to configure this. However, that is all that I can see.

SVTechie, great work, it looks great and it was what I was exactly looking for, keep going that way!!!

I just wonder if there is something that could be done. I use Spanish for my blog site, and the titles for the "categories" and "Latest in Blog" are fixed and in English, it could be good if any of the titles could be customize according to each one requirements.

Another thing, I have not been looking too much, but the categories name is cut to the first word or something like it, could it be more that that?

i have blogsidebar installed and launching the way i want.

but it seems to bring a lot of other stuff with it[img][/img]

the first is in image with blogroll turned off

the second image is with blogroll turned on.

i see other installs apparently working fine. what am i missing?

I am utterly unable to install either the module or the component. I downloaded them today, and attempted to install them using the com_installer in the admin panel of Joomla. I tried on three different sites, all Joomla 1.0.12, same result. I also tried on a 1.5 site, but got a "missing XML file" error, so I doubt it's supposed to work on 1.5.

The error I get on 1.0.12 is:

Not only does publishing Sidebar give me the error Invalid query: Whole query: SELECT id FROM #__categories WHERE section="com_weblinks" AND title="blogroll"
but the whole format of my homepage is messed up and I lose all the content!

How on earth do people get this to work?

On the earth, people read other posts and go to blog component/module section in admin panel and configure 'em properly.

Fun aside, please go to modules in admin panel and configure it to pick correct category in Weblinks. (you can disable it as well).
